The week has, perhaps, drawn to a close

It takes the end of a long day, and now the end of a long week for it to settle just HOW much we have learned, taken in, and had to adapt to in the last 7 days.  It's a lot.  Our brains are tired...and it seems as though there is little creative to say.

Work has thrown a busload of new things our way, from fast pace, to constant people interaction, to new policies, to 5 new pieces of software.  There has been no shortage of keeping our minds engaged.  Greg is setting out for Japan this coming Wednesday, to scout some locations for an upcoming film shoot.  I'll be staying behind continuing building our new post-production workflow, and doing some more graphic design alongside.

We had a first experience with off-schedule trains, we waited for one 22 minutes past schedule, encountered a train so packed out that only 3 people could squeeze in (that didn't include us), and had a train completely miss our station.  All in a day.  Fun times!

We also ate out for the first time last night, with all our housemates.  We enjoyed a brick-oven garlic/basil pizza, and fresh mozzarella calzone.  Talk about to.die.for!  Exquisite...and a block from our apartment.  It may be dangerous.  Oh, and fun fact: they roll the crust with a wine bottle.

Our lovely landlady was curious as to how we had such a "good sense of style, coming from Missouri".  I told her it was Pinterest...and thrift stores...we had a good laugh ;)

We've been in the office today wrapping up some of the final VFX on Bound, and thanks to some great calls with potential color artists, still have a little bit left...it's wrapping up though...VERY SOON!

We're heading out of the office, to Whole Foods and Trader Joes.  I mean, you have to do price comparison, to find all the best options.  We'll let you know how that goes.

We continue to thank God for His good provision, protection, and blessings.  Thank you all for the prayers!
